A couple of things to look for when hiring a roofing contractor

1. Don't immediately accept the lowest bid, a low bid may be an  
    indicator of poor quality materials or sub-standard work.
2. How long has the contractor been in the roofing business?
3. Make sure the roofing company is insured, this protects the
    customer.
4. Can they provide references?
5. Does the roofing company clean up the job site?
6. Get a written contract.
